About Us
We are an expanding Masonic Lodge, originally formed from residents of Burgess Hill, Hassocks and the surrounding areas. We have continued to support Mid Sussex Communities and Charities since our consecration in 1945 and have been encouraging local men of all ages to share our core ideals of
Friendship, Integrity, Charity and Respect.
We originally came together at the Old Downs
Hotel, Keymer, Hassocks from 1945 -1964.
We then held meetings at
Stroods Hotel, Sayers Common,
Ockley Lodge Hotel, Hassocks,
Wivelsfield Village Hall,
and Lewes Masonic Temple.
After this somewhat nomadic start we eventually settled at the Uckfield Masonic Hall, where Freemasons have been meeting since 1893 and William de Warenne since 1988.
Uckfield Masonic Hall is located off Church Street, behind Dawson Hart Solicitors
Since 1998 we have expanded our membership base to include Brethren from the following Towns:-
Burgess Hill Copthorne Hailsham Hassocks Haywards Heath Heathfield Hellingly Hove Maresfield Newick Nutley Plumpton Green Ringles Cross Rotherfield Swaffham Telscombe Cliffs
